Choosing which martial art to practise can be a bit like choosing chocolate, says MMA Fighter Carano - There are so many types and varieties. By far the most attended workout on our schedule, this fitness class is open to everyone, from beginners looking to get in shape or lose weight to fighters preparing to step into the ring. This book is for beginners who want to learn MMA and take challenges. The man fought some of the biggest punching heavyweights of all-time in absolute wars and so took a lot of damage in actual fights and not just in training.

Sean has interviewed over 100 fighters, trainers and world champions on and has been fortunate enough to train and learn from a number of legendary fighters and coaches. Some schools have classes primarily taught by an assistant or senior students, while the head instructor only makes an occasional appearance.

An example of a technique in this section of the class might be to clinch against opponent throwing punches, get body-lock takedown, secure mount position. It is normal for fighters to keep their strong side in the back because that is what they have been Muay Thai taught by their instructors, but before this should even be established you need to figure out the purpose of why you are learning to fight.

We will use drills, live sparring and rolling to shorten the response time, and allow the students to effectively apply what they have learned.

The classes will be structured to work on the basic fundamentals of kickboxing including footwork, kicking, kneeing, punching and defensive techniques on the pads and with partner. Sparring is a way to practice your punches, kicks and blocks by using various sparring drills.
